Julie graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2007 with a BSN degree. After obtaining her RN license, she began working as a nurse at Vanderbilt in the CVICU where she received extensive training and experience in dealing with highly acute and complex patients. As an RN, she also gained experience working with oncology patients, post-bariatric surgery patients, and patients taking long-term anticoagulation. She graduated from TSU through the RODP program in 2013 with her MSN degree and became a licensed FNP. During her time as an FNP she has received training in caring for patients of all ages. She plans to continue to work in family medicine and provide the best care possible to her patients.
I enjoy focusing on health maintenance and prevention because it is evidence-based and effective in allowing for early diagnosis and treatment, which saves lives!
