Originally from Arizona, Dr. Krauth initially worked as an electrical engineer, designing computer hardware. He went back to school in Tucson for his MD degree, then moved to Yakima, Washington (on the dry side of the state) to practice medicine. After 17 years in Yakima he was visiting family in Tennessee, loved the people and culture, and decided to move. He moved with his family (wife, 3 kids, son-in-law, and various pets) to Gallatin, and they love it there! He has found a great partner in Saint Thomas, which supports his ideals of focusing on the patient rather than the business of medicine. He enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, especially seeing children, from newborns on up, and has many special memories of seeing multigenerational families.
In my spare time I enjoy woodworking, ham radio, hiking, bicycling, and hanging out with my family.
