Jason Cory Barnett, MD

Dr. Barnett is a board certified Gynecologic Oncologist, and he joins St. Thomas Medical Partners after 14 years of service in the United States Air Force. He received his medical degree at the University of Louisville, and completed his Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at Duke University In Durham, NC in 2010. In the Air Force, he was chief of the division of Gynecology Oncology at San Antonio Military Medical Center, the largest hospital center in the DOD. In addition to a strong clinical experience providing state of the art medical and surgical treatment for gynecologic cancers, he was also involved in research with several publications and was the chair of the Institutional Review Board. In 2015, he deployed to Afghanistan to provide medical care for joint military services as part of Operation Resolution Support. His interests include patient centered, evidence-based clinical care, minimally invasive surgery, and cost-effectiveness research. Joining Dr. Barnett in Nashville are his wife, Jennifer, and their four children.
