Dr. Doering is a native of Wayne, New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and John Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland.  Dr. Doering completed her internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Dr. Doering served as the Chief Resident Internal Medicine, University of Tennessee, Baptist Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and  Geriatrics. Dr. Doering  is an Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she serves as the Associate Program Director.
