Michael P. Stany, MD

Dr. Stany is a board certified Gynecologic Oncologist, and he joins Saint Thomas Medical Partners after serving 13 years in the Army. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, and completed his Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In 2010, he deployed to Afghanistan, providing medical support for the 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell, KY. As a Gynecologic Oncologists at Walter Reed, Dr. Stany greatly expanded their clinical research program and robotics surgical services. He brings a diverse skillset to Saint Thomas Health, providing patients who have gynecologic cancers the latest in medical and surgical treatment options. He has become middle Tennessee's highest volume single site robotic surgeon, and offers patients with both benign and malignant gynecologic conditions the most advanced minimally invasive surgical options.

Joining Dr. Stany in Nashville are his wife, Dr. Renee' Stany, an Ob/Gyn, and his three children.
