Wendy has 15 years experience in the nursing field. She received her Bachelors and Masters of Science Degrees in nursing from Tennessee State University, focusing in primary care. Wendy is ANCC certified. Wendy is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, National League for Nursing and the American Nurse Association. She participated in several mission trips to Haiti with the Global Orphan Project where she worked with local doctors organizing and designing a primary care clinic for the children and adults of Jeremie, Haiti. Wendy serves on the medical team at her local church that organizes a bi-annual screening for their community. She leads a team of nurses that provides care for a camp that serves over 1000, 11-18 students every year. Wendy has also been involved in several research projects, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for fibromyalgia patients and the prevalence of deep vein thrombosis in surgical patients and the implementation of practices to prevent.
